Saigon location
Saigon is in the south of Vietnam. Saigon and Hanoi (in the north) are the two big cities of Vietnam. Hanoi is the capital of Vietnam but Saigon is a bigger economic center.
Vietnam is a country in South East Asia.

How Big is Saigon ?
In term of physical size :
As a tourist, you are interested only in district 1 and it is about 8 km². All the tourist attractions are in district 1, at a walking distance.

In term of population size :
District 1 has a population of about 250,000 people. With all the districts and suburbs there are about 8 million people. Also Hanoi in the north has about the same population.
